Street Tally terms of use

Operator: HydroComplete LLC. Effective October 24, 2026

1. Agreement and acceptance

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and HydroComplete LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company ("Street Tally", "we"), the operator of the Street Tally service. By linking your Ring account to Street Tally, or by using your tally page, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not link your account or use the service. You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.

2. The service

Street Tally counts vehicles that pass Ring cameras you connect, using Ring's motion alerts and short recordings, and reports them by time, direction of travel, colour and body style. Counts are automated readings of camera recordings and will sometimes be incomplete or wrong: a camera counts only what is in view, only when Ring sends an alert and has a recording, and colour and style readings can be mistaken, especially at night.

Street Tally is an informal count, not a certified traffic study. It is not a substitute for a professional traffic count or engineering study and should not be the sole basis for safety, enforcement, legal or planning decisions.

3. Your responsibilities

4. Data practices

Our data practices are set out in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. In summary: recordings are analysed and deleted within seconds and never kept; licence plates are never read; people are never identified; each vehicle is kept only as an anonymous line (time, direction, colour, style) for 90 days; colour and style are read by an AI vision service acting on our behalf; nothing is sold or used to train AI; and you can delete everything at any time from your tally page or by removing Street Tally in the Ring app. The Privacy Policy controls if it and this summary differ.

5. Intellectual property

The service, including its software, design, name and documentation, is owned by HydroComplete LLC. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it to count traffic past your own property. You keep all rights in your Ring recordings and in your counts, and grant us only the limited permission to retrieve and process recordings to provide the service. "Ring" and "Amazon" are trademarks of their owners; Street Tally is not affiliated with or endorsed by Ring LLC or Amazon.com, Inc. beyond taking part in the Ring developer program.

6. Third-party services

The service depends on Ring and Amazon (camera access and account linking, under your agreement with Ring), Fly.io (hosting) and Anthropic (AI vision). We are not responsible for their outages, changes or acts. Your use of Ring remains governed by Ring's own terms.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, HydroComplete LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of or inability to use the service, including decisions made using its counts. Total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Ending your use

By you: delete your data at any time with Delete all my data on your tally page, or remove Street Tally in the Ring app; either ends access and erases your data immediately. By us: we may suspend or end access for breach of these Terms, unlawful use or abuse, or if Ring, Amazon or the law requires it, and where practical we will tell you by email. We may discontinue the service with reasonable notice. On any termination your data is deleted as on unlinking. Sections 4 to 7 survive termination.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date and, where feasible, announced on your tally page or by email before they take effect.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
